Q : I live in Canada and I am going to do a quince in Cuba . Any tips ?

A : A destination quince sounds like such a great idea ! It is important to start planning 18-24 months prior . Much of the planning will be via phone or email since you are going to be arriving closer to the date of your quince . Let your guests know about 24 months prior so they can make accommodations .
Q : Is there a tradition that says I have to give a speech at my quince ?
A : There is no tradition that says you have to give a speech at your quince but it would be nice of you to prepare a short thank you speech . It gives you the opportunity to say thank you to your guests for attending your party and for your family and friends who make this special day a reality . If you are shy , you can plan to give them little “ thank you ” gifts without the need to speak publicly .
