The group also recommends the presence of a certified nurse-midwife, certified midwife, or a physician practicing within an integrated and regulated health system. Responsibilities include maintaining a roster of members in the section, attending monthly DGH Skype meetings, organizing regular meetings with Education Section membership, supporting the work of DGH as it relates to preservice and continuing midwifery education, working with ACNM Department of Global Outreach staff, and contributing to the development of continuing education for members who are interested in increasing their knowledge and skills in global health.
