Chapter 33. 340a( 6) &( 7)
Dentists who have a restricted I anesthesia permit must submit a complete report of death or incident requiring medical care and resulting in physical or mental injury that directly resulted from the administration of conscious sedation or nitrous oxide / oxygen analgesia by the permitholder, or by a CRNA working under the supervision of the permitholder. The report must be submitted within 30 days of the death or incident.
In addition, the board must receive prior notice of the first time that the office of the permitholder will be used for the administration of conscious sedation or nitrous oxide / oxygen analgesia.
Chapter 33. 341( a)( 1) &( b)
A dentist who does not possess a permit to administer anesthesia cannot allow anesthesia to be administered in their office, unless the board receives written notice the first time their office will be used for the administration of general anesthesia, deep sedation, conscious sedation or nitrous oxide / oxygen analgesia by an anesthesia permitholder.

Chapter 33.250( c) Child Abuse Reporting Requirements
Though not required to notify the Board, all licensees are considered to mandated reporters of suspected child abuse, and are required to notify the Department of Human Services in writing when a suspected case of child abuse is reported to ChildLine. A written report must be submitted to the Department of Human Services or the county agency assigned to the case within 48 hours.
