WEDDINGS // SUNSHINE COAST

CHLOE & MITCH

Here comes the sun

When you ’ re a wedding stylist by trade , creativity is second nature . But what happens when it ’ s your own wedding on show ? As Head Stylist at Lovebird Weddings , Chloe recently found out first-hand . “ The pressure was on !” she laughs . Although you ’ d never guess it looking at the effortlessly chic Noosa soirée she and Mitch shared with their dearest friends and family . With its fresh modern vibe , beachfront location , and weekend-long run sheet ( think sunset cruises and a picture-perfect recovery ), it ’ s one for the inspo board ! The slow-burn love story of these self-confessed “ sun-loving beach bums ” traces back to school (“ our sisters are best friends ” says Chloe ) but finally kicked up a notch when Mitch moved to the Sunshine Coast . Living at Sunrise Beach , just two minutes from the ocean , is a dream lifestyle for the pair . “ We ’ re always surfing , swimming , and walking our two border collies on the beach ,” says Chloe . So it was apt that Mitch ’ s “ out of the blue ” proposal one Friday afternoon at home was followed by a celebration dinner at iconic Noosa riverfront bar and restaurant Rickys , with a surprise engagement party with friends and family in Brisbane the next day . While an ocean backdrop was a non-negotiable , the couple ’ s wedding journey was dotted with Covid curveballs . “ We were originally to be married in Bali . I grew up holidaying there and my parents live there ,” explains Chloe . “ However Covid had other plans . We then decided on Byron Bay , as it ’ s a special place for Mitch and his family , however again the borders closed . Four months out , we landed on Queensland where most of our guests were coming from .”
