Nothing spells romance quite like exchanging vows on a World Heritage-listed tropical island . For these high school sweethearts , it was the perfect expression of a decade-long love story . The couple ’ s firm friendship laid the foundation for forever , bonding over shared interests and a mutual attraction . Their relationship eventually blooming to include puppies Nahlah and Willow and a son , Huxley . But it wasn ’ t until the gender reveal of daughter Armi that wedding bells chimed . “ My dad owns a 1963 Chevy Bel-Air which we used to do a burnout at my parent ’ s property ,” explains Sharna . “ It was green smoke for a boy and purple for girl – and the whole place was absolutely covered in purple smoke . It was getting so thick , I went to walk out - totally oblivious to the fact Todd was down on his knee . As I turned around , I saw him on the ground and bawled my eyes out .”

As regular travellers to K ’ gari ( Fraser Island ), it was a no-brainer to hold their wedding at the Kingfisher Bay Resort . “ It wasn ’ t even spoken about as to where we would get married , we both knew it was here , our most favourite place where we have created so many amazing memories ,” Sharna says .
