The day ’ s only sadness was a few notable absences , including Kevin ’ s best man , unable to attend due to travel restrictions . “ There was a bit of nervousness around having lockdowns but the week of the wedding everything seemed to fall into place and we could get married with no restrictions other than those from interstate ,” says Dani .
The silver lining was Eli stepping up as best man ! “ He was only four at the time but was a champ the entire day . Everyone keeps saying how he stole the show ,” laughs Dani . Guests gathered at Preston Peak ’ s Wedding Tree Pavilion for an emotional ceremony beneath the boughs . With a breathtaking backdrop of rolling hills and the Lockyer Valley , it was a stunning way to celebrate the pair ’ s devotion and commitment .
The couple ’ s winery reception was the picture of rustic splendour with hundreds of fairy lights covering the bar ’ s iconic tree chandelier . Guests enjoyed an array of delicious gourmet cuisine and a plenty of fun memories when the speeches kicked off . It was the perfect end to an unforgettable day . And the couple ’ s advice for other lovers on their wedding journey ?“ Just enjoy the day ,” says Dani . “ You have vendors to look after you and to make your wedding special , so leave it in their hands and focus on each other . Your friends and family and you will have an amazing day .”
