In keeping with this carefree spirit , their ideal wedding destination was an easy choice , having visited Toowoomba earlier that year for a good friend ’ s wedding . Toowoomba was close , yet just far enough for that getaway vibe the couple craved . “ We liked the idea of doing a wedding that didn ’ t feel too close to home as we wanted something that felt like we were escaping for the week ,” says Dani . “ Once we got to Preston Peak Winery , we loved the fact that we would have the whole venue to ourselves . The venue and view were amazing , and the hospitality shown by the staff was a notch above everything else we had visited .”
Nestled among the rolling hills of the Great Diving Range just outside of Toowoomba , Preston Peak Winery was the perfect venue for the couple ’ s rustic yet modern themes . With a tree-lined avenue , olive grove , and signature wood-panelled bar , the winery kept with the couple ’ s ideal of a relaxed and intimate celebration .“ We didn ’ t want to place any expectations on the guests other than showing up and having a good time ,” says Dani . “ So we kept our style and clothing choice pretty casual . A rustic theme seemed to suit that type of venue and time of year .”
