Describe your job.

I am a Superintending Engineer at the Kiambu County government office. Basically, I build tarmac roads.

What problem does your job help to solve? How does your job make the world a better place?

My job facilitates accessibility and mobility hence ensuring social and economic growth. Good physical connectivity in the urban and rural areas is essential for economic growth because any delays affect a nation's progress.

Why did you choose a career in Engineering? What was your greatest influence in making the decision?

A family friend. I was amazed with the respect from everyone calling him "Engineer".

What are you passionate about?

Education. At its most basic level, education is important because it gives people the baseline skills to survive as adults in the world. It gives people the skills and tools they need to navigate the world.

What would you enjoy doing even if you were not paid to do it?

I would enjoy fashion styling.

What advice would you give your 16 year old self?

Appreciate the little achievements.

What would you like to be remembered for?

Making a change in the transport and infrastructure industry in Kenya.
