Describe your job.

I am a Project Co-ordinator and Engineer. Yes, they are two different but somewhat related fields. I work in engineering projects. My team and I build various structures from bare land or upgrade/improve existing facilities in order to handle, store and distribute various products.

What problem does your job help to solve? How does your job make the world a better place?

Due to the facilities' large storage capacity, products can now reach customers faster and more efficiently. This acts as a driving force to the economy. It decongests the traffic flow of imports into Kenya through the Port of Mombasa and is also a huge source of employment.

Why did you choose a career in Engineering? What was your greatest influence in making the decision?

I grew up in a 'techy' family. I have always been curious about how stuff works. My parents being my role models definitely had the greatest influence in my career, particularly my Dad who is an engineer. My siblings and I are all engineers actually so talk about influence!

What are you passionate about?

Besides engineering and my career, I am very passionate about human rights, particularly for women and children.

What would you enjoy doing even if you were not paid to do it?

Building stuff from ground zero! Watching things go from nothing to something to serve others is exciting! Besides that, mentoring our youth and taking care of or spending time with orphaned children.

State some of your hobbies.

Travelling, reading, listening to music, watching sports, spending time with loved ones.

What advice would you give your 16 year old self?

Relax, KCSE is not EVERYTHING. It is going to be okay so take a break from the books and go nurture some of your talents.

What would you like to be remembered for?

I have a very big heart for people. I would want to be remembered for sharing God's love to all. Cheesy, I know, but it's the truth. I really just like making everyone's day better.
