Baby steps to healthy eating
Being healthy does not mean that you have to live by the rules of a chart. For instance, the BMI( Body, Mass Index) chart says that if you are 5’ 5” tall you should weigh between 112-150lbs; anything over that then you are considered overweight. Now how many of us actually fall within those guidelines? I am not even close. But does that make me unhealthy? Maybe, maybe not. Does that put me at a higher risk of getting Diabetes, Cancer, or some other form of ailment? Maybe, maybe not. In my opinion, being healthy is more about feeling good, energetic and eating foods that are healthier to keep your body working right. I never diet; to me dieting is a temporary solution to a bigger problem( no pun intended). The key is to changing your eating habits so that you can get your body used to that lifestyle. Eating fast foods everyday is NO good for any of us; whether you are big or small. I am going to share with you a few tips on how some things that you can enjoy without feeling like you are missing out on your flavors.
