Welcome to the April 2017 issue of Queen Size Magazine . As you all know , April is Autism Awareness Month . Did you know that Autism now affects 1 in 68 children and 1 in 42 boys ? And that boys are nearly five times more likely than girls to have autism ? Most of us have never had to deal with children with Autism , therefore we cannot relate to what they go through or what their mom goes through either . Our cover model , Serenity , has a son that fell into those statistics . She speaks out on her experiences as an Autism mom and how they are breaking barriers . Be sure to check out her story and in-depth interview inside .
Speaking of children , we also have an exclusive interview with Jessica Toussaint who is the Founder and President of Bridge to Promise Inc ., a growing youth development organization focused on providing programs and services that positively addresses the physical , mental and emotional aspects of a young person .
