Quarterly Newsletters 2016/2017 2nd Quarter Newsletter | Page 8

We are working on the agenda for another excellent conference and again we have used the input of our members to plan and arrange the sessions and speakers for the upcoming conference. We still have plenty of openings for topics, so please forward any ideas to us. As always, this is your conference and we work extensively to bring you the topics you want to see. So far we have commitments for the following speakers/sessions: we will have two sessions tailored for new Business Managers on understanding your financial statements, and RBC will have a session on bond ratings in light of the recent downgrade of the state’s bond rating and will address the impact to school districts bonds. We have a session planned on the IRS’ ruling on the distinction between contractors and employees and the potential impact to schools, and our ever popular sessions from APTA and Visions. We are working on several other sessions, but do not have confirmation on the speakers or topics at this time. Again, please email us any suggestions you may have for topics. We look forward to seeing you in February 15-17, in Albuquerque at the Embassy Suites!
