2016 Fall Conference Certificates of Completion
We are wrapping up verifying the 2016 Fall Conference attendee hours and the certificates of completion should be mailed out by Wednesday, November 30. Please contact our office if you have not received your certificate by the beginning of December.
High School Scholarships
The Scholarship Committee is planning to have the 2017 High School Scholarship guidelines and application posted by Monday, December 5. We will send out a broadcast email to all our members so you can forward the information to all the high school counselors. Please be on the look out for the email.
40th Day Reporting Reminder
Recent solvency measures, passed by the legislature in the special session and signed into law by Governor Susana Martinez, require the Secretary of Education to set the final unit value by December 15, 2016. This represents an earlier date than in years past, and requires school districts and charter schools to expedite the submission and finalization of first reporting date information. Please work with your STARS coordinator to emphasize the importance early finalization has on your finances this year, and the need to quickly resolve issues during program approval at the Public Education Department.
