Aspasa to increase training offerings in 2017

The Aggregate and Sand Producers Association of Southern Africa( Aspasa) is increasing its training offering for members to underpin industry standards and improve workforce skills.
According to association director Nico Pienaar, the existing seminar and workshop schedule will be expanded to include courses that provide intensive, hands-on, industryrelevant education.“ It will be a great opportunity for attendees to learn from expert trainers and share ideas with people from other companies who might be facing similar challenges,” he says.
The courses will be costeffective and available throughout southern Africa wherever there is sufficient interest.“ We invite Aspasa members, customers, and those involved in the opencast quarrying industry to add to the growing list of courses that have been planned for 2017 thus far, and to comment on information required and course material,” adds Pienaar.“ Everybody is welcome to send us their ideas so that we can give the industry the type of training that it needs, where and when it is needed.”
Popular and frequently run courses covering health and safety, environment, risk, transport, quality, legal, and HR / IR will continue, with the number and the content being updated in line with new requirements. The association
