Ghanaian cement manufacturer Ghacem launched the Ghacem Cement Academy at a brief ceremony in Accra , together with a mobile app designed to equip block makers across the country and expand their knowledge regarding cement usage , according to Ghana News Online . Managing director of the Company , Morten Garde , says that Ghacem is in the business of helping blockmakers , cement consumers and other stakeholders in construction to have the best possible products . “ We also make sure that we educate you so you can have even better understanding of the product you are dealing with ,” he states . Deputy Minister for Works and Housing , Eugene Arhin lauded Ghacem management for the initiative , assuring that the government would honor its promise to ensure that there is a conducive business environment . He said the initiative of the academy is the first of its kind in the country and it will give existing users of Ghacem products some professional training .
The Saoura Cement Company has ordered a MVR 5000 R-4 mill from Gebr . Pfeiffer for a new cement plant at Bechar , Algeria . The 350t / hr raw cement mill will grind material to a fineness of 12 % R90 µ m and the drive will have a power of 3800kW . Delivery for the mill is scheduled for the first half of 2018 .
