Caterpillar will be debuting eight machines at CONEXPO-CON / AGG 2017, and displaying half a dozen more recently introduced machines for the first time at an equipment show, including excavators, wheel loaders, a dozer, an articulated truck, a telehandler and cold planers. Caterpillar will also introduce new remote control technologies and connectivity technologies at the show.
The larger of Caterpillar’ s two exhibits will focus on excavating, grading, paving and aggregates mining and handling, while a few large machines displayed at its smaller exhibit will represent general construction and aggregates product lines.
New machines to be displayed include the compact radius M317F wheeled excavator, as well as the fuel-efficient 390F and 336F XE Excavators, both with crawler undercarriages. The 390F can be equipped with the industry’ s only integrated payload system for accurate truck loading. This system also comes standard with the 336F XE, as does the 2D GRADE— with a variety of optional Cat Connect grade control systems.
New Cat wheel loaders include the 986K, which will replace the H Series model and deliver lower cost per tonne in earthmoving and aggregates operations. The 972M XE and 982M will be on display to highlight updates, including new Cat Connect Technologies, additional operator comfort and safety features, and attributes that help reduce operating costs.
The new 745 articulated dump truck features a new cab with enhanced visibility and innovative machine control features to improve operator efficiency and safety further. The new stability assist system reduces the risk of rollovers, and the new Economy Mode reduces fuel consumption.
