The Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP)
EFMP serves to support Marine Corps readiness by assisting military families with special needs by ensuring a continuum
of care for eligible Marine Corps family members and providing support during the Permanent Change of Station (PCS)
process. Eligible family members include spouses, children, and other dependent family members with a diagnosed
physical, intellectual, or emotional condition requiring on-going medical or educational services. In addition to providing
support during the PCS process, each enrolled family is assigned an EFMP family case worker who provides on-going
support upon arrival at the new duty station.

Child and Youth Programs
Available for Marines and their children ages six weeks to 18 years of age. If you are interested in child care, the first step
is to log on to MilitaryChildCare.com to register your household and request child care. This process puts your child on a
waitlist for any military child care facility in the US and overseas. Search “Quantico” to see options available on this base for
your child’s age group. The CDCs offer full-time care for children 6 weeks through pre-kindergarten. Part-day preschool and
hourly care programs are also available. School Age Care Programs include before and after school care, as well as full-time
care during spring and winter breaks, and summer camp.

RECREATION
Single Marine Program (SMP)
A bridge between risk and protection. As the demographics, trends, and interests change, a new plan every year identifies
