volunteering with L.I.N.K.S., you may gain a better

a great feeling to pass on your knowledge to
others. Each team meeting will include professional
development as well as planning sessions for
upcoming L.I.N.K.S. events. Bring your inspiration
and ideas and help us find new and creative ways
of enhancing our program.
L.I.N.K.S. for Kids

Religious and Family Services Center
Military kids are very lucky to have many great
experiences, but there may also be some
challenges growing up as a military child. A four
hour event designed for children ages 6-9 years
old, to celebrate being a military kid. Topics include:
culture and traditions of the Marine Corps, feelings
surrounding deployment, moving in the military,
and things to do around MCB Quantico and the
Washington D.C. area. Kids get hands on learning
with games, dressing up in uniforms, and more!
Please be sure to list an excellent phone number as
in the event of an emergency parents must be able
to respond to a phone call or pick up their child(ren)
quickly.
QUANTICO’S VOLUNTEER PROGRAM
Interested Volunteers must complete the MCBQ
Volunteer Application.
The Quantico Volunteer Information Center provides
approved volunteers the means to control their volunteer
experience. Registered users can use the site 24 hours
a day, seven days a week to quickly locate volunteer
opportunities, sign up for volunteer events and activities,
track hours, print reports for award purposes, and earn
hours for recognition at the MCBQ Volunteer Appreciation
Event held each April at The Clubs at Quantico.
Volunteer opportunities are provided for informational
purposes for active duty personnel, family members,
retirees, veterans, and civilian employees. The information
provided on non-Federal volunteer opportunities does not
imply official DoD or USMC endorsement.
All personnel must be in an approved off duty status to
volunteer.

FOCUS is a prevention service designed to help families manage the stress that arises from the challenges
of military life. The program serves families and couples, and is customized to suit each family’s needs.
FOCUS is offered in several formats: family consultations, family training, couples training, small group
training, workshops, and now through video teleconferencing! FOCUS maintains strong connections with
other military family services to support a network of care for families and couples.

Hello June Bugs! Is your family getting ready to face some major
transitions? June is often the time for moving, graduation and
preparing for summertime, and with these transitions, comes
increased stress. How will you and your little June Bugs cope with
all the changes? At the FOCUS program, we specialize in helping
families (just like yours!) to prepare for successful transitions.
