The Inside Story
Spring is in full swing and the month
of May is filled with lots of MCCS
family-friendly activities. Check out
some of the highlights:
Join us on Sat, 2 May, at the 1st
Annual Potomac River Festival,
from 1200-1700, held at the Quantico
Marina and Town of Quantico Pier.
Enjoy a sailing regatta, great food,
music, boat rides, and a bouncy castle
for kids.
Mother’s Day is just around the
corner. Everyone deserves a little
pampering, so why not make it stressfree and relaxing for that special
person – Mom? Bring her and the
entire family to The Clubs at Quantico
& Crossroads Events Center for the
annual Mother’s Day Champagne
Brunch which features an extensive
menu of delicious food and desserts.
Call or email The Clubs for your
reservations.
Once brunch is over, bring Mom to
the Quantico Bowling Center for a
fun-filled afternoon! Moms bowl free,
when accompanied by their children
from 1300-1700.
If outdoor fun is more your style,
The Quantico 50M Pool opens on Sat,
23 May. The Quantico Youth Center
will be holding a Summer Blow Out
Party at the pool on Fri, 29 May from
1900-2100 so be sure to bring the
whole family! Call the Quantico Youth
Center at 703-784-2249 for further
details.
If you enjoy getting out on the green,
the Medal of Honor Golf Course is
offering Women’s Golf Clinics, 13 and
27 May; and Adult Golf Clinics 2 and 9
May. A 9-Hole Scramble is scheduled
for Thu, 21 May. Contact the Medal
of Honor Golf Course for more

To wrap up the month, we’re calling
all Superheroes on Sat, 30 May! The
New Parent Support Program will be
having their annual Dad’s Day in the
Park event from 0930-1100 at Barnett
Field Playground. This year’s theme is
geared toward Superhero activities
and the event is designed for dads
with children ages 0-5.
Please read through our magazine
for further details, including
information on upcoming registrations
for sports camps, Summer Care, and
Hourly Child Care at the CDC.
Please have a safe Memorial Day
as we honor and remember all of the
men and women who have served and
paid the ultimate sacrifice to maintain
