MCRD PARRIS ISLAND
Coming from Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, Captain Astrid Rivas is a Logistics
Officer and currently a Series Commander with Fourth Recruit Training Battalion.
Originally from Bowie, Maryland she joined the Marine Corps in May 2011 and has been
stationed in Marine Corps Air Station Miramar and deployed to Bahrain in support of
SPMAGTF 16.2. Captain Rivas enjoys mixing up her fitness routine but gets most of her
enjoyment out of functional fitness and weight lifting. This is her first time competing in
the HITT Championship.
