Coming from MCAS New River, Gunnery Sergeant Smathe Toles is a 6042 IMRL Asset
Manager with MALS-29. Born in Haiti and raised in Queens, NY, she joined the Marine
Corps in 2006 and has been stationed in Beaufort, SC, San Diego, CA, and is currently
stationed in Jacksonville, NC. She has been on one UDP to Japan, and has one combat
deployment to Afghanistan. GySgt Toles has been a Group Fitness Instructor for over 12
years teaching a variety of formats on and off base. She is HITT Level 1 and 2 certified,
TRX level 1, and the Squadron FFI. This is her first time competing in the HITT
Championship.
