CAMP ALLEN
Coming from Naval Weapons Station Yorktown, Staff Sergeant Mark Cason is a 0311
Combat Marksmanship Trainer with Marine Corps Security Force Regiment, Formal
Marksmanship Training Center. Originally from Abilene, Texas, he joined the Marine
Corps in 2007 and has been stationed in 29 Palms with 3d Battalion, 7th Marines
where he completed two combat deployments to Sangin, Afghanistan. SSgt Cason
then served at MCAS Beaufort as the Combat Marksmanship Trainer. In 2015 SSgt
Cason joined 3d Battalion, 5th Marines. In 2018, SSgt Cason arrived at NWS Yorktown
and served as a Squad Leader and then a Platoon Sgt for Bravo Company 4th Platoon
before going to work at the Formal Marksmanship Training Center. SSgt Cason grew
up playing football and basketball and running track in Texas. This is his first time
competing in the HITT Championship.
