MEAL DEALERS: THE IDEAL MEAL PREP
Delicious, healthy meals, fully cooked, are waiting for you at the Barber Physical Activity Center.
Perfectly balanced and portioned. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Grab your lunch for the week, dinner
for the family on those busy nights, or breakfast when you’ve had to skip it to get out the door on
time. See page 18 for more information on our new meal program.
BACK TO SCHOOL: WE’RE HERE FOR YOU
The date is drawing near. Monday, 28 August is the first day of the 2017-2018 school year!
MCCS wants your school year to be a successful one. The MCX is stocking up for the Back To School
Sale, and the School Liaisons are helping military families with information and resources on Virginia
K-12 education. From Before and After School Care to Part Day Preschool, we’re ready for that big
day! See page 8 &14 for all the details.
VEC OPEN HOUSE
Learn more about college admission programs, Joint Service Transcript Credit, financial resources
for college, military classification testing, college preparation resources, and SAT/ACT testing.
Turn to page 17 and find the details on where and when you can get the information to get started,
or finally finish your education!
SUMMER RECREATION
Summer is winding down but there’s still lots of outdoor recreation to enjoy! In August you can enjoy
watching a movie while floating in the pool at Flick and Float, have a paint ball competition with
your friends at the new Quantico Paint Ball Park, enjoy a Sunset Paddle at Smith Lake with Quantico
Outdoor Adventures, and so much more! See pages 20-23 for all the Recreation activities this month.
