SENSORY STORY TIME 3 APR , 0900-1000 , NPSP Sensory Story Time is designed to engage the senses through music , movement , art , reading , and a variety of play activities . Come out to meet new people and make new friends . Foster social skills with other children and network with other parents . Age appropriate activities will be provided for children ages 0 to preschool .
SPECIAL OLYMPICS VOLUNTEER ORIENTATION 3 APR , 1600-1700 , GRC 4 APR , 1000-1100 , GRC Volunteers for upcoming EFMP Special Olympics Fun Field Day may attend either session . Hear from Special Olympics staff , and streamline check-in on the day of the event by completing the required paperwork in advance .
EFMP SOCIAL HOUR 4 APR , 1500-1600 , MCX Come to the Main Exchange food court and meet other families in our base community . This is a great opportunity to meet and network with other EFMP families .
RESPITE CARE OVERVIEW 10 APR , 1100-1300 VEC RM 9 Respite Care Overview is for sponsors and spouses with EFMP enrolled dependents . This educational brief provides information to support families interested in receiving Respite Care reimbursement , with an overview of respite care eligibility , purpose , and other information to help qualified families use the program successfully . Individual sessions may be scheduled if this time does not meet the client need .
WALK & TALK 5 & 19 APR , 0900-1000 , BUTLER STADIUM Come walk and talk with us ! What a great way to exercise and meet new people . For inclement weather , please check the Facebook page or contact EFMP .
EFMP SUPPORT GROUP 19 APR , 1000-1100 , NPSP This support group offers a nurturing environment for families with special needs , dependents , or the adult caregiver . Support , guidance , networking opportunities and acessibility to resources are some of the foundations of the group .
EFMP SPECIAL OLYMPICS FUN FIELD DAY 21 APR , 1000-1300 , BUTLER STADIUM Come join us for a fun , non-competitive field meet suitable for enrolled EFMP ages 3 and up , as well as athletes with cognitive or developmental disabilities from the surrounding communities . Athletes should arrive at 0900 for athlete check-in and warm-up . The ceremony starts at 1000 , and the event will end by 1300 . Athletes and volunteers can register at Eventbrite .
LUNCH AND LEARN 24 APR , 1200-1300 , MCFTB HOUSE Bring your lunch and join us for an informative workshop facilitated by a representative from the Naval Health Clinic about the Overseas Screening Process .
