Components of Quality Management
Quality assurance provides confidence to the
organization that its projects and programmes
are being managed properly. Quality control
consists of testing, inspection and measurement.
It evaluates that the deliverables conform to
specification and meet stakeholder expectations.
Quality planning includes the preparation of a
quality management plan which describes the
metrics and the processes that will be used. The
last component, continual improvement is the
term used to describe the information provided
by quality control and assurance processes to
drive improvements in the effectiveness and
efficiency.
