Boise Dance Co-op is a 501(c)3 non-profit
organization and the brain child of Phyllis
Rothwell Affrunti of Ballet Idaho - former
Principal Ballerina and current Ballet
Master, Frank Affrunti, and Jason Hartley, a
contemporary dancer and choreographer.
Boise Dance Co-op is guided by a Board of
Directors.
Now in its fifth season, BDC is directed by
Phyllis Rothwell Affrunti and her husband
Frank Affrunti. Boise Dance Co-op is a
collaborative comprised of professional
dancers and artists from companies in the
Treasure Valley including Ballet Idaho, Trey
McIntyre, Idaho Dance Theatre, Off Center
Dance, Project Flux, LED, Balance, and more.
With the addition of national
choreographers, BDC has become a staple
of summer entertainment. With many dance
companies collaborating for one show, the
community has a chance to explore Boise's
dance scene all at once.
Most companies' performance seasons are
on hiatus in the summer months, and dancers
have few opportunities to grow and share their
talents with the Treasure Valley community.
BDC was founded as a vehicle for professional
dancers to continue to dance and be inspired.
Within this collaboration, art has been created
that may have otherwise laid dormant.
BDC has a number of LGBT performers in
their performances, and always promote a
safe environment open to anyone. You can

Co-Op at http://www.boisedancecoop.org/
