Dear Friends , On behalf of Lusail Circuit Sports Club and the Ministry of Culture and Sports , we warmly welcome everyone to Qatar ’ s Round of the 2022 FIM MotoGP™ World Championship .
As always , it is with great pleasure and honour that Lusail Circuit Sports Club will be once again hosting the biggest motorcycle race in the world . We have been hosting the event ever since 2004 , and we are excited that this season ’ s opener , which is the only one night-race in the 2022 FIM MotoGP™ World Championship , will be held under the spectacular flood lights of Lusail International Circuit , making the whole experience much more thrilling , riveting and action-packed for all participants and attendees .
The event will be conveniently held on the first weekend of March 2022 , from March 4th to March 6th , and we would like to give our warmest welcome to each and every one of you including all the riders , teams , manufacturers , media , sponsors , organizers , and of course all the fans who will be excitedly spectating from the sidelines .
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank our wise leader , His Highness , the Amir , Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani , for his continued support of such events , his astute guidance , and his forward-looking spirit of initiative with Qatar National Vision 2030 . We also owe a great debt of gratitude to the Ministry of Sports and Youth for its relentless support and endorsement of motor sports in Qatar .

We were the first country ever to host a MotoGP™ night race in 2008 , and since then , Qatar solidified it ’ s position as a global hub for some of the most gripping international sport events to be experienced by fans from all across the world . We are equally as honored and proud to be hosting this Championship , as we are excited for what the future holds for us as we continue to improve and innovate . The world continues to give us its trust , and we will continue to repay this trust with more value . Let us strive to make sports more exciting and memorable than ever before , time and time again , together !
