Attend a compulsory of 12 Qualifying Sessions in order to be called to the Bar( traditionally called“ Dining sessions”). Dining Qualifying sessions in each term varies from 6- 20 days. A maximum of 6 Qualifying Session per term.
There are two compulsory Introductory Events.
Qualifying sessions includes: Ordinary Dining Nights: These dinners are preceded by a short talk or followed by a debate. Grand Days, Guest Nights and Family Guest Nights: Allowed to bring guest to the session. Sunday Lunch: Sunday lunch is held after Chapel and students may bring up to two guest. Domus Dinners:“ Domus” means home. On these nights, there is a table plan and the Benchers, barristers and students dine together. Lecture Nights. Residential Weekend(£ 60 per weekend): It consists of talks, advocacy exercises and pupillage advice sessions which count as three qualifying sessions. Advocacy Workshops. Education Days.

Grand Night: Only offered once every academic year and play“ passing the loving cup”. Debate and Guest Night. Mattins and Sunday Lunch: Mattins service in Chapel followed by lunch. Advocacy weekends: Education Weekend- It consist of Mooting Competition, dinner and music in Hall, advocacy exercise at the Royal Courts of Justice, a series of talks and a social event. Residential Weekends- It consist of advocacy exercises, ethics discussion sessions, a mediation workshop, a series of talks.
* Students undertaking the BPTC at providers outside London have: Residential Weekend * Moot Competition- 1st Round will take place at each provider on Circuit Collaborative Qualifying Sessions
