CW HOME DEPOT CELEBRATES 20 YEARS OF BUILDING TIMELESS HOMES

To commemorate the significant milestone of one of the leading building , finishing , and furnishing retail stores in the country , CW Home Depot celebrated its 20th-year company anniversary over a series of events and programs starting in early January of this year . To officially kick off the festivity , CW Home Depot has organized a video competition open to all its customers and clients that aims to highlight how has the company helped them build their timeless homes .
“ In celebration of our 20th anniversary , we desired to highlight the real stories of our customers and clients and how CW Home Depot was able to support them in accomplishing and building their timeless homes . Having this video competition was very monumental for us since it allowed us to see the transition of our products into real-life timeless homes ,” said Mr . Ferdinand G . Co , CW Home Depot ’ s managing director .
A unity fun run activity dubbed “ Takbo Para Sa CW Home Depot ” was also organized to foster camaraderie and promote a healthy lifestyle among its employees and trade partners . It was attended by some 350 runners who competed in 2.5 and 5K race categories . But the two of the most significant activities carried out in lieu of the company ’ s 20th celebration were the renovation of comfort rooms and multi-purpose center which were accomplished in partnership with the local government unit of Pasig City and the Habitat for Humanity , Philippines , respectively .

The Bureau of Internal Revenue ( BIR ) is targeting to collect a creditable withholding tax of 1 % from the partner merchants of online platforms by the fourth quarter of 2023 .
Early this year , the BIR proposed to impose a creditable withholding tax of 1 % on one-half of the gross remittances of online platform providers to their partner sellers or merchants .
The taxman had defended the proposal saying it is not a new tax and its collection is within existing laws .

BIR eyes to collect 1 % withholding tax from online merchants by Q4

“ The proposal is a creditable withholding tax . So , it ’ s not really a new tax . It ’ s just a mode of collecting ,” BIR Commissioner Romeo Lumagui Jr . said in May .
During a chance interview , Lumagui told reporters : “ We may start in the fourth quarter … We are aiming for this year , so it would be a full implementation next year .”
