JUDGES PROFILES Tom McBeath & John Briggs, National Show Tom McBeath of Union, Mississippi USA, has judged the AmQHA Open, Amateur, and Select World Championship Shows, the APHA World Show, the All American Quarter Horse Congress, the NRHA Futurity and Derby, the NSBA World Championship Show, the Varsity Equestrian National Championships, the Latin American Championship Show, along with many circuits through out the United States and Internationally. as well as being an AmQHA National Director . He operates McBeath Farms, a training facility that specializes in youth and amateurs. Gavin White, Campdraft John Briggs, from Pilot Point, Texas USA, has been an AQHA and NSBA judge for 15 years. He has had the honour of judging many major shows including the AQHA World Show and the All American Quarter Horse Congress. He along with his wife Jill train all around horses Tom has trained multiple World and Congress Champions as well as AmQHA High Point and Justin Rookie winners. Joy Secombe, Dressage Bryan Cadden, Cutting Lives at Woolomin on the outskirts of Tamworth NSW with his wife Jayne Competed in cutting since 1976 and has been judging for 35 years Holds a 4A judging ticket with NCHA Is a Past Vice President & Chairman of the judges with NCHA Showed at Futurity in Fort Worth TX and worked and trained for Bill Freeman Also competes in Team Roping with his two daughters Phillipa & Jodie Born in Tamworth and grew up on the family property at Weabonga NSW Gavin has ridden horses from a very young age and has been campdrafting ever since he was 8 years old. H e has competed in the World Championship Campdraft at the Sydney Royal Show and competes successfully at Campdrafts throughout NSW and southern Queensland Some achievements are ABCRA Juvenile rider in the early 2000’s and winner of the restricted open horse at ABCRA championships on a couple of occasions. In 2010 I worked in Canada and America training horses. Gavin enjoys breeding his own horses for Campdrafting, Challenges and Snaffle Bit Cutting. Jan Lyon, Hack & Show Hunter I have been riding horses most of my life, starting off at Pony Club, then progressing to ODE’s, hunting during the winter months and showing and show jumping during the summer. I have judged at Melbourne, Bathurst, Toowoomba, Sydney (x3) and Canberra (x2) Royals and numerous Horse of the Year Shows and Grand National Qualifying events in most States of Australia.
