PRA renews partnership with FILSCAP through extended Memorandum of Agreement

The Philippine Retailers Association ( PRA ) and the Filipino Society of Composers , Authors , and Publishers , Inc . ( FILSCAP ) are delighted to announce the signing of a term extension for their existing Memorandum of Agreement ( MOA ), solidifying their continued collaboration for another year .
The signing ceremony , conducted on January 25 , 2024 , was graced by the presence of esteemed representatives from both organizations . Signing on behalf of the Philippine Retailers Association were PRA President Roberto S . Claudio , Sr ., and PRA Director for International Affairs Lorenzo C . Formoso . Representing FILSCAP were FILSCAP President Nonoy Tan , FILSCAP Vice President Tito Cayamanda , and FILSCAP Asst . Treasurer Raquel Dacillo .
The original MOA , inked on January 31 , 2022 , had a two-year term commencing on January 1 , 2022 , and concluding on December 31 , 2023 . Within the MOA , PRA members in good standing were entitled to a discounted FILCAP licensing rate . The newly extended agreement ensures the continuity of this fruitful partnership for an additional year , until December 31 , 2024 . Importantly , there will be no rate increase from the original MOA , and that the terms and conditions stipulated in the original agreement will remain unchanged throughout this extended period .
The renewal of this MOA underscores the commitment of PRA and FILSCAP to nurturing a harmonious relationship and fostering a conducive environment for the creative arts within the retail industry .

At the helm of DMark Beauty , she has skillfully steered the distribution of globally renowned skincare brands and medical devices , bridging the gap between consumers and professionals . Inspired by influential women in her family , she founded DMark Beauty in 1998 with a mission to help Filipina women feel beautiful , confident , and empowered .
When asked about key lessons learned throughout her career , Nikki emphasized the importance of humility and kindness . " You have to be patient and persistent because hard work leads to success . Openness to new learnings is crucial ; interacting with customers and facing challenges helps you solve problems . Explaining her decision to take a different path from the family business , Nikki shared that her mom , always attuned to beauty trends , spotted a breakthrough product in the US . Nikki , having just finished university , was tasked by her mom to explore and introduce it to the Philippine market . Although unrelated to their existing businesses , her mom ' s trust in Nikki ' s abilities and the perceived opportunity in the skincare business led her to gladly take on the challenge . She developed a business plan , and the rest , as they say , is history .
