would struggle to exist and Bates also expressed
appreciation for the role played by Isuzu Trucks in
backing the tournament.

Kenmore State School students got to
experience golf with Lee Harrington.

At the presentation of the Hunter Cup to 2015
champion David Bransdon, the managing director
of Isuzu Australia, Mike Yoda, confirmed his
company’s sponsorship for the next three years. He
was supported by Isuzu Brisbane dealer principal
Alan Newcombe, a driving force in the company’s
involvement with the event.
The 2016 Open will enter another phase when it
is contested at Brisbane Golf Club, the venue for
the first Queensland Open, won by amateur Harry
Sinclair in 1925.
