Playgolf WEEK ramps up
interest
Golf Queensland is excited to be part of the
national campaign Playgolf WEEK which
has been developed to ultimately increase
participation in golf. Its purpose is to raise
the profile and appeal of golf to current and
future players, which leads to increased
participation.
Over 35 Queensland clubs have signed up
to be part of the week with a total of nearly
300 clubs across the country participating.
The event will see the staging of special
activities throughout the week, including
the centrepiece for all clubs involved being
the Come & Try Day on Sunday,
23 November.
Clubs will benefit greatly by getting
members involved with the week so make
sure you get on board. Statistics say that
approximately 80% of new members are
introduced to the Club by existing members.
I encourage Clubs to keep members
updated about what your club is doing
during Playgolf WEEK, and the competitions
on offer to them.
For further information about Playgolf WEEK
visit www.playgolf.com.au or contact Golf
Australia on (03) 9626 5050.
Happy golfing!

recruitment campaigns, a national approach
is more cost effective, with the potential to
reach more people. It also allows for t
