As the morning mist cleared from the fairways of Indooroopilly Golf Club, more than 75 participants gathered to tee off at the inaugural Qld Golf Foundation golf day recently. Keen golfers and supporters of the Foundation, the field teed off in aid of junior golf in Queensland. Teams enjoyed the fun day and had the help of the Queensland Academy of Sport Squad on certain holes. The squad members could take a shot for a team member in return for a donation. Craig Anderson from Sci-Fleet certainly got this money worth’s when QAS member Gennai Goodwin hit a hole in one on the par-3 6th, ensuring he was the winner of the Nearest to the Pin competition. All in all, it was an enjoyable day. The Qld Golf Foundation thanks all the participants for their support of the golf day. All funds raised will give more kids across Queensland more opportunities to learn to play golf. www.golfqueensland.org.au Winter 2017 Q Golf 15
