Over 1,000 children join in the fun at Ladies Masters
Golf Queensland exposed over 1,000
children to the game of golf during
the week of the Volvik RACV Ladies
Masters on the Gold Coast recently,
through its community engagement
activities plan.
The plan was initiated to promote
the game of golf through working
with children during high profile
tournaments such as the Volvik
RACV Ladies Masters and the Isuzu
Queensland Open.
In addition to the Golf Queensland
team, a number of the ALPG and
LET Professionals assisted with the
delivery and exposure of the game
to over 600 students at schools. The
professionals included Melissa Reid,
Felicity Johnson, Tanya Patterson,
Joanna Klatten, Sarah King and
Phillis Meti.
Golf Queensland commenced
activities with a clinic for Gold Coast
Recreation and Sport athletes at
the Cararra Gardens Driving Range.

of golf skills challenges led by
