Bachelor Bob Idolised in NQ Bob Platt spends countless time helping juniors on the golf course By David Newbery When one thinks of golf heroes it’s the Adam Scotts, Jason Days and Karrie Webbs that spring to mind. But here’s one for you – Bob Platt. Okay, Bob’s name isn’t synonymous with the abovementioned, but in North Queensland he is idolised by countless juniors, their parents and grandparents. The 62-year-old is president of Golf North Queensland, has been for 12 years, and plays off “20-something” at Proserpine Golf Club.
