These guys have amazing projects! Their heart for understanding radon and

their efforts to bring about awareness are unmatched !

Through in-person or virtual exchange programs, Premier Youth Ambassadors for Radon Reduction (PYA) participants will engage in experiential learning activities; leadership trainings; civic participation at the community level; mentoring by community, business, and other organizational leaders; engaging with local communities, and volunteering. Exchange subthemes include social inclusion, innovation and environmental protection. The Premier Youth Ambassadors for Radon Reduction Program is sponsored by Citizens for Radioactive Radon Reduction (CR3) and is offered to all U.S. States.

 

What Participants Gain from the Premier Youth Ambassadors for Radon Reduction Program

Eligibility Requirements

* All students must apply.

All Youth Participants must:

* Be between 15 years old or older

* Demonstrate leadership potential and

community involvement regarding radon gas.

* If under the age of 18 yrs old, have parental/

legal guardian permission to participate in

the programming (see application).

 

Program Goals

·         To develop a cadre of young adults who have a strong sense of civic responsibility, a commitment to improving indoor air quality and radon gas reduction,  community development, an awareness of current & global radon gas  issues, and strong interpersonal leadership skills;

·         To foster relationships among youth from different ethnic, religious, and national groups; and

·         To promote mutual understanding, respect, and collaboration between the youth and the radon industry

We offer opportunities to students interested furthering their interest in radon testing, mitigation and advocacy.
