Last month, the Houston Community College Foundation hosted its annual donor luncheon to recognize and thank the many contributors to student scholarships—including the PVF Roundtable. PVFRT Vice President Eric Weimar accepted the recognition on behalf of the organization and had the opportunity to meet several PVF scholarship recipients face-to-face.
“They were all very thankful to have received a scholarship and eager to share their plans for the future,” said Eric. “A few even shared personal stories about how the scholarship helped them stay in school and continue pursuing a career in the PVF industry.”
Eric also took a photo with the group of PVF scholarship recipients and was excited to learn that the student featured on the event banner was also one of the PVF scholarship awardees.
Houston Community College expressed their appreciation for the PVF Roundtable’s generosity and the meaningful investment in students' lives. The impact of these scholarships helps students overcome financial challenges while balancing work, family, and education.
“This is my favorite time of the year—I get to hear about all the successes these students have achieved through scholarship support,” shared Frances Villagran-Glover, President of HCC Southeast.
While PVF Roundtable scholarships are specifically awarded to students pursuing careers in the pipe, valve, and fittings industry, HCC celebrated all scholarship recipients during the luncheon, honoring the collective support that fuels student success.
