environments—delivering innovation, precision, and performance that redefine industry standards.

Seats

- PEEK & Modified PEEK: High-strength thermoplastics for high-pressure and high-temperature ball and plug valve seats. Injection-molded and heat-treated to ensure dimensional stability and resistance to explosive decompression.

- Filled PTFE & Modified PTFE: Glass, graphite, or bronze-filled PTFE blends for chemical resistance with improved wear properties.

- Polyimides & High-Temperature Composites: For applications approaching 600 °F where PTFE and PEEK lose integrity.

- PFA & Fluoropolymers: For aggressive chemical service where permeation resistance is critical.

Stem Packing

- Custom Elastomers (FKM, HNBR, FFKM, ED-Rated Compounds): Tailored for sour gas, high H₂S, or oxygen service.

- Graphite & Hybrid Packing Sets: For fire-safe applications requiring API 607 / ISO 10497 certification.

- Cryogenic-Grade Compounds: Ensuring low-temperature elasticity and compliance with LNG standards.

Explosive Decompression Resistant Elastomers: Preventing blistering and cracking under rapid decompression events.

Seals & O-Rings

- Explosive Decompression Resistant Elastomers: Preventing blistering and cracking under rapid decompression events.

- Low-Temperature Elastomers (down to –50 °F): Designed for subsea and arctic valves.

- Immersion-Tested Compounds: For long-term performance in amines, sour hydrocarbons, and completion fluids.

Every ODIN sealing solution is validated through immersion testing, strain-gauge analysis, cryogenic cycling, and fire-safe qualification in our own facility, based in College Station/Bryan, Texas. This ensures not just compliance, but reliability in the field.

Elastomers vs. Composites: Complementary Strengths

One common misconception in valve design is that sealing materials can be “one-size-fits-all.” In reality, elastomers and composites serve very different but complementary functions.

- Elastomers (such as FKM, HNBR, and FFKM) provide elastic recovery and compliance. They deform under load and rebound to maintain tight contact, making them ideal for O-rings, stem seals, and dynamic applications. Their benefits include:

- Excellent sealing under low load conditions

○       Excellent sealing under low load conditions

○       Ability to accommodate shaft misalignment or surface imperfections

○       Broad chemical compatibility when engineered correctly

Critical performance in fugitive emission and explosive decompression service
