The Putnam County Chamber of Commerce is an advocate for business and provides numerous promotional and networking opportunities for its members.
Annual Dinner Meeting
Typically held at the end of January, this event delivers the Annual Report to Chamber members along with a brief business meeting to elect members to the Chamber Board of Directors. A social hour, dinner and program are part of this event. The Mayo Lester Community Service Award is presented to the chosen nominee, as determined by names submitted to the Chamber by the members. Also presented is the Generation Putnam Young Leader Award to acknowledge an up and coming business professional in the community. This event is highly recommended for social networking potential, corporate sponsorship opportunities and business promotion.
Business After Hours 5 pm – 7 pm
This premier networking event is hosted by a Chamber member or members at a designated location every month, except January and July. Participation is limited to Chamber members and their guests with a nominal fee to attend. Highly recommended for high-profile sponsorship publicity and networking potential. There is a single name drawn from the entire membership for a cash prize; you must be present to win or the purse carries over to the next month, with a maximum cash purse of $ 1200 in December.
Business Before Business 7:30 am – 9 am
Business Before Business is an opportunity to network over a casual continental breakfast. This free event is held the first Friday of every other month beginning in February and is open to all Chamber members and their guests. There is a drawing from attendee’ s business cards for a free e-Billboard.
Business of the Month
The Chamber promotes one member’ s business every month. The Business of the Month is selected from members who have attended the monthly Business After Hours events. They are featured in our monthly Pride & Progress Newsletter, displayed on the opening page of our website, listed under the Recognitions tab on our website and receive a Business of the Month certificate to display in their business. They also have the opportunity to address guests at the next Business After Hours following their“ Business of the Month” acknowledgement.
Business Showcase
Held annually in conjunction with the Empowering Women Conference, this event provides a means to exhibit business products and services to other businesses and the community. Exhibition booths are available to Chamber
