UT Arlington’s Visual Communication Design Program Ranks Among Top 50 Nationally The Visual Communication Design program at The University of Texas at Arlington is ranked among the top 50 nationally, according to Animation Career Review. UTA was ranked No. 44 for graphic design by Animation Career Review, an online resource for aspiring animators, game designers, graphic designers and digital artists. Animation Career Review has ranked graphic design programs for six consecutive years. What is so important about the Visual Communication Design program is that it shows students how to use their creativity in practical applications, helping serve them throughout their careers. Free Microchipping for Pets Available at February Events in Arlington As part of Responsible Pet Ownership month in February, Arlington pet owners were able to get free micro- chips for their dogs and cats at the Arlington Animal Services Center. Thirty pets were microchipped, and made possible by 24PetWatch and administered by the Texas Coalition for Animal Protection (TCAP) throughout the month. Dogs and cats that are microchipped have a much higher chance of being reunited with their pet parent when they become lost. As social distancing restrictions are lifted, low-cost clinics through (TCAP) will resume three times per month at Arlington Animal Services on the second Monday and Friday, and last Friday of each month . An important part of being a respon- sible pet owner is microchipping your pet and keeping the owner contact information current. It can make all the difference in achieving a happy outcome for you and your pet.
