Free Microchipping
for Pets Available at
February Events in
Arlington
As part of Responsible Pet Ownership
month in February, Arlington pet
owners were able to get free micro-
chips for their dogs and cats at the
Arlington Animal Services Center.
Thirty pets were microchipped, and
made possible by 24PetWatch and
administered by the Texas Coalition for
Animal Protection (TCAP) throughout
the month. Dogs and cats that are
microchipped have a much higher
chance of being reunited with their
pet parent when they become lost.
As social distancing restrictions are
lifted, low-cost clinics through (TCAP)
will resume three times per month at
Arlington Animal Services on the
second Monday and Friday, and last
Friday of each month .
An important part of being a respon-
sible pet owner is microchipping your
pet and keeping the owner contact
information current. It can make all
the difference in achieving a happy
outcome for you and your pet.
