To monitor different impurities in medical gases at the same time, several gas analyzers are required, working together reliably. To meet this need, Servomex offers the multi-gas monitoring system (MMS), a holistic, scalable solution for the analysis and quality control of gases at trace and ultra-trace levels. Combining analyzers from Servomex’s extensive range of technologies, these customized systems are configurable not only for medical gases, but also industrial, beverage and food-grade gases. Experienced system design and integration experts ensure that each MMS captures the full potential of each analyzer used, whatever the customer application or measurement range may be. Analyzers, components and sensing technologies are all carefully chosen to meet the specific requirements of the intended application, covering the desired ranges and response times, and complying with current legislation and industry standards. Servomex’s specialist MMS for medical gases is the Medical Gas Analysis and Quality Control (MGAQ) system, designed to meet European and US Pharmacopeia standards. They are precision-designed for minimal sample volume, delivering efficient analysis and fast, on-the-spot readings, with full traceability for quality control purposes. The expert Servomex systems team can provide fully integrated measurement solutions in off-the-shelf or customized designs, with measurements for nitrogen, oxygen, nitrous oxide, medical air and carbon dioxide. MGAQ systems are developed to minimize user interaction while increasing productivity and maintaining traceability. Servomex’s digital sensor technology is linked to a software package to produce detailed analysis, data collection and quality control. CONSULT, DESIGN, DELIVER. Servomex is the world leader in gas analysis systems – our engineers have more than 60 years’ experience in designing and manufacturing customized systems. Our expertise in sensing technology and analytical equipment perfectly complements our skill in systems integration. P08 MONITORING & MAINTENANCE SECTION The brain of Servomex’s systems is the Intuitive Gas Software (IGS), a Windows 10-based program specifically designed to simplify and automate the certification of pure gas supplies. It provides a convenient user interface for the operator to enter product details and begin the analysis. Once the analytical sequence has been completed, impurity levels are inserted automatically, and the certificate is printed out. By taking control of the analysis, data collection, and quality control check, IGS reduces the possibility of operator error and improves the verification of product quality. IGS can accept analytical measurements from most types of gas analyzer, characterizing them into two types – batch and continuous. Batch-type analyzers, such as gas chromatographs like the SERVOPRO Chroma, do not produce continuous measurements. They must be started and allowed to run to completion, typically over many minutes, before the measurement can be read from the analyzer. Continuous analyzers, such as the SERVOPRO MultiExact 4100 configured with Paramagnetic or Infrared sensors, always have a measurement available, although this may not be valid until the test gas has reached the device and been analyzed. The IGS program keeps full records of operators, operations and events, and stores copies of certificates in a tamper- proof format, working in full accordance with medical validation rules such as CFR21 part 11. Trends and graphs are available across a selectable time frame, with analysis certificates available in several different formats. Statistical analysis and abnormal states during measurements or calibrations can be added as a trend overlay, then printed directly. These functionalities greatly support preventative maintenance and troubleshooting. IGS can manage several applications at the same time, producing a summary table with all current readings, warnings and alarms. It is also backed by Servomex’s world-class global support. Multiple users can log in, with varying permission levels, offering operator, supervisor and administrator privilege settings. Certificate settings can be entered manually by the user, or the system can be fitted with a barcode reader which scans the container label to obtain the required information. The certificates are configurable, and can be customized, for example by adding a company logo and any other information required. All certificates are stored in a tamper-proof format and are accessible via IGS document section. Find out more: servomex.expert/systems P09
