Pure Path; Divine Wisdom for Your Divine Life 5of5 | Page 2

knowing the true nature of God, we may better know and heal ourselves... a perfect circle.

And just who are we?

If you knew nothing of human beings or human life and you merely read headlines, studies, social commentary, and our perspective of modern medicine, you would be lead to believe that we, as a species, are frail, sickly, and wholly unable to live in the environment of our own planet. We are the product of a Purel generation, scared of germs and worrisome of virtually every aspect of the world around us.

If we are truly made in the image of God, who has unfathomable love for us as His own, what is it then, that we are so afraid of? We cannot eat this and that. We shy away from adventure. We fear sickness at every turn and the media and medical world mirror our fears.

Matthew 15:11 & 17-20

“11 Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.

17 Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly and is cast out into the draught?

18 But those things that proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defileth the man.

19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies;

20 These are the things which defile a man; but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.”

Clearly Jesus found that the human condition was not so frail and in need of worry as we are today. Consider even the time period in which he lived; they were much less advanced in medicine and hygienic luxuries. People died young of common disease, yet he survived execution.

The impure things we do, therefore, make us susceptible to disease. Stress has been proven through research to be a devastating killer and hindrance to well being. If one commits the actions he warned us about, murder, adultery, theft, etc we would find ourselves, if not a sociopath, stressed of our own behaviors. This stress and subsequent toil it brings upon us is the path to illness, dis-ease—a veritable Hell on earth.

If we are in balance, we are less vulnerable. Otherwise every cold and flu season would affect every person on the planet, for then health is determined merely by the germ or environment. The X factor of health is within. Our health stems from the inner workings of our mind, body, and soul. When we are out of balance or engaging in risky behaviors, we become easy pickings for illness.

This passage can be used in all manners of life, not solely physical health. If it is happiness you seek, you will find it within, not from what you consume or witness around you.

With the empowerment of these teachings and true understanding of them, not for condemnation, but for hope in our daily walk with God, we can rest easy, enjoy life, and continue seeking the mysterious ways of our Creator and creation. We can truly open our hearts and minds to a new layer of meaning, seemingly buried beneath misconception, fear, and narrow mindedness. Jesus showed us the way, we just became lazy in our readings and our practices.

It is time to celebrate the vast, dynamic and colorful creation we experience. It is time to trust our hearts to know that whatever strange method that vibes with us to find and live in the Kingdom of God is, undoubtedly, ordained by God. No longer judging others for their style of prayer, service, or temple we can remove remaining, unnecessary stress and uncertainty from our own paths.

Your health and the blessing of God are in your hands. The work has been done for you; enjoy the experience of living in the now and forget archaic, fear-based misconceptions of our religions. Hold tightly the feeling of joy and wonder within the things you know through pure, unbridled experience and you will hold the Kingdom of God in your palm.

If one looks to the words of Jesus with renewed optimism and embraces mystery, they will surely dwell, even in this earthly life, in the Kingdom of God with fearlessness, wisdom, health, and joy. God hid the treasures of the universe where no man could twist or destroy them—in the hearts of each individual human being. To understand what Christ truly meant, start with this teaching and discern the rest using this as your guidepost.
