Get Organized

3

When we are working on the mind, body, and soul we alot of times do alot tof things. How many times when you are working one one aspect of yourself, and if any of you are like me, you start a project. This could be a collage of art showing your life story, or a ritual that involves salt, sage, candles and much more which causes some king of mess.

When talking to our Feng Shui specialist, she stated to me that the more energy that is around you the better, depending on what it is. This means that if you have clutter everywhere, then your energy will be off. If your house is organzied and in balance, then your energy will be good and balance. If you are stressing about the ability to keep your home organzied and you are so busy all the time cleaning then your energy will be off.

What we did is we scoured the web, the books, and talked to people and came up with 11 ways to organize your home and make your life simple.

1. Assign specific living quarters to everything you own. When you say that this going to only be located here, it clears up the time you are looking for things.

2. Put things where they work for you: vitamins by the juice glasses, coat hooks in the garage next to the car. Make the organization make sense and work for you. Dont set your system to be counterinttutive to you.

3. Keep real cleaning cloths next to your cleaning products, and ditch the box of ripped underwear you keep in the basement.

4. Leave a weatherproof, bench-style storage box outside for the kids’ outdoor toys. This will allow you to havbe a bench as well as to stop from toys getting ruined.

5 Gather all balls into a large, mesh drawstring bag. This will allow you not have balls rolling all over, and make it harder for younger kids to just get it out when you knot it.

6. Keep some toys undercover in the living room with decorative, lidded baskets.

7. Set your computer calendar’s alarm for the week before dates you need to remember, from an anniversary to the day you change the furnace filter. That will give you enough time to buy what you need.

8. Organize future events with a monthly accordion file. Put birthday cards, directions to a baby shower, a note to check on furniture deliveries, even vacation brochures in the appropriate months.

I hope that this helps you in organizing your mind, body and soul.
