Politics: US President Trump’s eldest son recently released an e-mail thread hinting at a possible collusion between Russia and the US during the 2016 presidential election. Meanwhile, a joint US-Russia cybersecurity unit is in the process of being developed.

Economy: During the G20 summit meeting, Putin announced that Russia’s economic growth rate was 3.1 percent, a steady increase in growth. He is confident that the economy will continue to flourish.

Culture: A Taste of Russia was recently held in Canada in order to bring the two cultures together in a time of great division.

Politics: Norway has decided to cut half of its Amazon fund aimed at protecting the rainforests in Brazil, due to deforestation. They plan to give the money back if the Brazilian government takes action to reduce deforestation.

Economy: Norway has finally emerged from an oil downturn with growth quickening to pre-crisis levels with unemployment receding after a three year fall caused by a global oil crisis.

Culture: Norway returns Buddha's statue in order to protect Myanmar’s national cultural heritage. Representatives of Norway and Myanmar have finalized the repatriation of Buddha's statue that had been purchased illegally.
