22 INTO THE WOODS... by Kirti Singh Art by Kirti Singh Tall bamboo trees, Blooming autumn leaves, A forest lane guarded by greens turning pale, Time to go, bid goodbye,... Time to let the bygones sigh, Time for new beginning, New hopes emerging, Not an end of the road, Just a bend to make you strong, A ray of hope, a fresh start, Jittery anxious essence wrapped in enthusiasm, Hopes of tomorrow being better, A thought crosses my soul: Trees don't complain! Lane just flows and take shape! Leaves silently whisper, crackle and kiss the ground knowing they are detached from life forever; Yet smiling as if aware that tomorrow they will be replaced by new fresh ones; So is life!! We all have to walk... Even if path is steep, Even if there is a dead end, Even if there is no clue, Even if there is no tomorrow, Knowing however long the night, the dawn will break...INTO THE WOODS....INTO THE WOODS!!
