Road Projects
The City’ s total roadway resurfacing goal for FY 2025-26( including from Half-Cent Sales Tax and Capital Improvement budgets) is 42.5 miles. Through the end of May, 40.8 miles of resurfacing had been completed.
The City is moving forward with improvements to Village Green Drive. The project team is at the 60 percent design stage, with final design expected to be completed by the end of 2026. Updated plans include wider shaded sidewalks, protected bike lanes, improved crosswalks, a nearby transit stop and redesigned access at Camino de Entrada.
Construction of the final segment of Tom Mackie Boulevard and Marshall Parkway east of Village Parkway is nearing completion. This spine road within the Southern Grove Jobs Corridor will connect with Anthony F. Sansone Sr. Boulevard, providing a dedicated transportation route for commercial vehicles from Discovery Way to Becker Road.
Utility Systems Updates
The 2025 Utility Systems Water Quality Report is now available. The report looks primarily at testing conducted in 2025. Also known as the Consumer Confidence Report, the document explains where our water comes from, how we protect it and how residents can help conserve it.
The Port St. Lucie Utility Systems Department will temporarily modify its water disinfection process between July 6-17. The City performs this process annually to ensure water quality and maintain compliance with federal and state regulatory agency requirements. Visit CityofPSL. com / water for information.
Fertilizer Ordinance
A countywide fertilizer ban will be in effect from June 1 to Sept. 30. The ban applies to all businesses and residences in unincorporated St. Lucie County, as well as the cities of Fort Pierce and Port St. Lucie. Learn more at www. cityofpsl. com / fertilizer.
Accomplishments
Keep Port St. Lucie Beautiful’ s annual Appreciation Night at Clover Park was a huge success as we recognized our Adopt-a-Street volunteers. Fans donated non-perishable food items in exchange for complimentary tickets to the game. In total, the Treasure Coast Food Bank collected a record 1,018 pounds of donations, which will create 1,221 meals! The program has been active in our City for 34 years and currently has 104 active groups.
Three Port St. Lucie Police Officers were honored at the 2026 First Responders Appreciation Foundation Awards Ceremony, an event that celebrates excellence, professionalism and dedication among public safety agencies in Florida: Detective Diane Astrella was named Detective of the Year; K9 Officer Corey Krecic received the Life Saving Award; Master Sgt. Erik Levasseur was honored with the Valor Award.
The City of Port St. Lucie marked two decades of the Hurricane Preparedness Expo, a long standing community event focused on providing residents with the knowledge, tools and resources needed to stay safe during storm season. The event took place June 6 at the MIDFLORIDA Event Center and drew a sizable crowd to hear expert presentations, chat with exhibitors and much more.
