Util; ity Systems Update
The Port St. Lucie Utility Systems Department will temporarily modify its water disinfection process between July 6-17. The City performs this process annually to ensure water quality and maintain compliance with federal and state regulatory agency requirements. Customers could notice a slight change in taste, color or odor during this time. Any changes in the water color or odor will be temporary and will not cause any adverse health effects. Accomplishments
Keep Port St. Lucie Beautiful held its annual Adopt-A-Street Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast. More than 125 volunteers participated to celebrate 34 years of the Adopt-A-Street program.
The City of Port St. Lucie celebrated America’ s 250th birthday with full day of patriotic fun. From the inaugural Freedomfest 5K Run / Walk in the morning to an evening filled with the music of Girlfriend Material and Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Max Weinberg, as well as a drone show and fireworks, this year’ s Freedomfest was a blast.
Upcoming Events On Saturday, July 11, children ages 2-12 and their grandparents can make memories. Grandparents Night, Christmas in July will be held from 4-6 p. m. at the Community Center.
Saturday, July 25 will feature an evening of music, dancing and community fun with the Senior Dance. From 6-8 p. m. at the MIDFLORIDA Event Center, seniors are invited to dress their best and enjoy a lively evening of fun.
Join the PSL Police Department and Police Athletic League( PAL) for a community backpack giveaway. This event is open to Port St. Lucie residents only; participants must show a valid ID and address. All school-age children are welcome, and each child must be present to receive a backpack filled with school supplies. The event will take place Saturday, July 11 from 10 a. m. to 1 p. m. at Port St. Lucie High School, 1201 SE Lennard Road.
