FOR MORE THAN A YEAR AND A HALF , spa leaders and their teams have shown an incredible amount of resilience and demonstrated an almost endless capacity for innovation as they have dealt with the ever-evolving demands placed on their businesses during the pandemic . And , as the 2021 U . S . Spa Industry Study illustrated , those demands were substantial .
Not only did the study provide spa leaders with a snapshot of the big-picture challenges the industry faced in the U . S ., but it also took a granular look at how closures affected spas month-tomonth in 2020 , how spas adapted operations to meet the needs of both guests and staff as well providing the kind of in-depth analysis of the data — and what it tells us about what could soon be in store for the industry — that only comes from working with a partner as reputable as PricewaterhouseCoopers .
