ISPA MEDIA EVENT aUGUSt 6, 2019 n Gotham haLL n neW YorK citY BY JAMISON STOIKE WITH WELLNESS ASCENDANT ON THE INTERNATIONAL STAGE, it’s no surprise that the 2019 iSPa media event was a spa-centric success. the annual event, held in new York city’s Gotham hall, marked the 25th year in which iSPa members have demoed treatments for media members and touted the transformative power of spa. Sixteen sponsors showcased the latest and greatest in spa with miniature treatments, facials, education and cutting- edge innovations. many of the sponsoring spas collaborated with their resource partners—such as eminence organic Skin care and make Up factory—to bring their treatments to life. in attendance were 106 media members who frequently cover spa and wellness, including a handful of high-profile social media influencers and bloggers. together they represented outlets as diverse as Access Hollywood, The New York Times, Good Morning America and People magazine. During the event, each media attendee was able to enjoy the sponsors’ treatments while discussing potential stories and spa news. Before leaving, attendees received a booklet with more information on the event’s sponsors and a take-home bag filled with sample products and take-home treatments.
